Stop struggling with your mind and start living your life.
Too often, we get caught up in a civil war with our own thoughts and forget to actually show up for our lives. Whether you feel 'stuck' in a cycle of stress, paralyzed by high-pressure demands, or overwhelmed by the chaos of daily hurdles, the problem is often the same: we become a prisoner to our own minds.

I’m Shaun Hardie. I help people 'unhook' from the unhelpful thoughts and emotions that hold them back. Using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), we work together to transform your relationship with your struggles so they no longer stand in the way of what matters most.

My goal isn't just to talk about your past, but to give you the practical tools to live more fully in the here-and-now. Even when life feels heavy or uncertain, you can reclaim your time and move toward a life of purpose and clarity.

Ready to get unstuck?
My Story...
I’ve always been drawn to helping people navigate life’s challenges. It’s not just about offering support or giving advice but about exploring the deeper “why” behind our struggles — what drives our actions, thoughts, and emotions. When we begin to uncover those patterns, we create space to make real, lasting change — choosing to live a life aligned with what truly matters.

For over two decades, I’ve walked alongside individuals and couples through some of life’s hardest moments — as a counselor, a minister, and someone who has personally experienced what it feels like to be stuck. I know firsthand the weight of anxiety, stress, and self-doubt, and I also know the freedom that comes from learning to face those experiences with compassion and courage. Those lessons shape the way I help others today.

My work is deeply rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) — an evidence-based approach that helps people embrace life’s messiness while building a life rich in purpose and meaning. ACT isn’t about fixing yourself; it’s about finding yourself and moving forward with authenticity and intention.

Vineyard Counseling: Tending What Matters
In October 2025, I opened Vineyard Counseling — a private practice in Fort Wayne, Indiana built around the belief that growth takes time, care, and patience, much like tending a vineyard.

The vision for Vineyard Counseling has been growing in my heart for years. Since my early days in ministry, I’ve felt called to be a “worker at the altar and a worker in the vineyard” — helping others nurture what’s been planted in them, even through seasons of pruning and waiting.

Vineyard Counseling provides professional therapy for individuals and couples, integrating ACT with a compassionate, faith-informed perspective. Whether you’re seeking to manage anxiety, strengthen relationships, or reconnect with your values, my goal is to help you tend what matters most and flourish where you’re planted.

ACT on Mental Health
I also share weekly videos on my YouTube channel, ACT on Mental Health, where I teach Acceptance and Commitment Therapy concepts in simple, relatable ways. It’s been an incredible experience blending my love for teaching with my counseling practice — helping others learn ACT and live more mindfully, one video at a time. I keep the resources up-to-date with free practical tools for clients and clinicians.
